The sun was setting fast, the trail was muddy and we were running short on time. But a quick 30 minutes later and I had gone through a super inspired shotgun photography session at Eagles Nest Open Space with Jenn and Jake. It was so much fun and even though it was short, felt like we connected for a lifetime. Check out the epic scenery!
It's not often that I get a couple that wants to wake up before the sun rises to catch that morning light. But when we do, it becomes some of my favorite images to capture. And this sunrise session on Flagstaff Mountain just outside of Boulder, CO was one of the most stunning settings for this engagement photography session.
Shauna and Shawn met their sophomore year of college. Shauna would show up to as many rugby team games as possible, hoping to catch Shawn's eye every time. When he finally asked her out, it was over from there. They spent every moment together. I know their wedding is going to be just as magical as their engagement session!
I'm so excited to share with you a behind the scenes video of the engagement I did at the LA Arboretum gardens! It was a magical day and I wanted to show some of my process and the final product. I hope you like it and leave me a comment!

Welcome to Los Angeles travelers! These two flew all the way from Kentucky to do a whirlwind engagement photo session across the Los Angeles city proper. We went to Hermosa Park, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach Canals, and to the LACMA light posts. And in case you were wondering, yes there was cotton candy involved. <3

I love destination engagements! It shows you can go anywhere for your session. If you could get engagement photos anywhere in the world, where would it be?! Let me know in the comments below.
I have had the pleasure of being great friends with Chawon and Karen ever since I moved to Los Angeles. I have seen their relationship grow and build to such a strong bond. The two of them are some of my closest friends here and I've never been more happy knowing they are engaged.
So naturally, I decided to do their engagement photos as a wedding present to them. We picked a beautiful day to run around the LA Arboretum in Arcadia, CA. There was a light breeze in the air and a feeling of something important coming. What I captured of the two of them was nothing short of romantic and magical. Check them out below!
