The sun was setting fast, the trail was muddy and we were running short on time. But a quick 30 minutes later and I had gone through a super inspired shotgun photography session at Eagles Nest Open Space with Jenn and Jake. It was so much fun and even though it was short, felt like we connected for a lifetime. Check out the epic scenery!
One of the reasons I love doing this, is that I get to meet some amazing people. On this day I dragged my husband up into the mountains for the engagement session of Liam and Whitney at their house near Black Hawk, Colorado. After the gorgeous session below, taken in their own neighborhood, we sat for drinks, snacks, and awesome conversation. We wound up talking for close to five hours, well into the night. Whitney rescues chickens, their pets are family, and we learned about global warming from a scientist. It was so much fun that we promised to come up the next weekend with our pup and spend the night. Stick around to the end of the post, because I wound up revealing the session to them and took a video of their reactions.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this engagement session in Black Hawk, Colorado.
And as promised, below is the video I took of their reveal. I created a slideshow for them to watch.
Alex and Drew are some of the best people, and I’m not just biased because they brought me beer. We did a sunrise session at Castlewood Canyon State Park, and boy was it COLD. The walkways had frozen over and we had to walk extra carefully to keep from falling. I’m pretty sure I looked comical waddling around like a penguin, trying to keep upright.
I hope you enjoyed this engagement photography session at Castlewood Canyon State Park in Franktown, CO. Don’t forget to check out my other blog entries!
They met online and immediately had a deep connection we all dream about. Rachel and Michael have planned out their entire lives and know exactly how their love will go. I was super excited to take their engagements in Heil Valley near Longmont, CO and I’ve never been more excited to photograph their wedding this year at the Denver Aquarium!
Brent and Madison are a lovely couple on their way to matrimony. We popped out to Horsetooth Mountain Open Space this past November for some awesome sunset engagement photos. It was a quick and fun session as the sun started dipping below the horizon. After powering through some hiking (and catching my breath since I’m so out of shape), we were able to get some awesome engagement pictures.
I hope you enjoyed this engagement photography session in Fort Collins at the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space. Now go on a hike with a special person in your life!
They wanted epic views on top of a mountain. But Jessica and Patrick woke up that November morning to snow. And lots of it. A blizzard ripped through Boulder Colorado and when I asked if they were still down for some cold pictures, they said yes. I love adventurous couples willing to head out into the snow storm because just LOOK at these! My car slid halfway down a mountain but it was so worth it!
I hope you enjoyed this Boulder Colorado engagement session in the snow! Now go on an adventure.
