A slideshow of the Crested Butte Engagement Session
These guys could not have picked a more perfect weekend to drive out to Crested Butte for a fall engagement session. The colors were perfect and the leaves were just about to fall.
Carlene and Nick met in college. Carlene saw Nick jumping up and down, looking like a goof. She asked him why he was so excited and he said Phish just announced their tour. Carlene was equally as excited and sure enough when they went back into class, Nick was sitting right next to her. They quickly became friends and after some time began dating.
They now both work for the same company and are some of the coolest people I've ever met. Josh and I had dinner with them after the engagement session and didn't want the night to end! We cannot wait to spend more time with them!
Irada and Mubariz are two people from Canada and the US who found out they originated from the same small town in Azerbaijan. They came down to The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs to have a small intimate elopement and a nice dinner with family. After some fun engagement style photography sessions, they retired to sign the marriage license and eat a hearty meal.
They were a super fun couple who, even when it began to rain, never once stopped having a good time.
The last few months have been the most difficult and the most renewing experiences for the year. I've been going through some hard mental stuff and needed a chance to get away, recharge and regroup. So I looked to my husband, and asked "Want to take a few random trips?" Josh being the adventurous type, said - HELL YES!
So we went to Nebraska, Wyoming, and other parts of Colorado. We stayed on a ranch in Nebraska with horses, communed with chickens in Wyoming, and hiked Bear Lake in the Rocky Mountain National Park. It helped me settle back and look at what I needed to prioritize in my life. Anybody else needing time away?
So here are some random photos from the trip.

Marissa and Micah met at Colorado Christian University and they have big plans! After they get married, they plan to convert a school bus into a tiny house on wheels and travel the US together.
I was so excited to photograph their engagement, not only because of my own secret desires to live the vanlife but because we went to this gorgeous park where we were threatened by rain storms multiple times. Eldorado State Park is nestled behind the Gross Reservoir near Boulder, Colorado. Driving down dirt roads to get there, a rock formation juts up and provides a really cool spot to do some sweeping environment shots.
