The holidays are here! I smell pine, gingerbread cookies baking in the oven, and the crisp cold winter air! It's been a while since I've been this excited about the coming holidays. Over the Thanksgiving season, I saw a ton of adorable engagements happening while surrounded by family and friends. It's only fitting that everyone wants to gift the new Bride something for her impending wedding! So this year I decided to come up with a list of Christmas gifts for the Bride in your life.
1. Something Old: Grandma's Dress
The holidays are an excellent time to give that heirloom that was destined to always be hers. Grandma's dress has been sitting the in the hope chest, just waiting to be revealed. Or maybe the wedding band from Mom that she can't fit into anymore. There are also some excellent antique rings on Etsy that can make her day (such as this one). But there's nothing that says old items cannot be remade new.
2. Something New: The SHOES
It's time ladies. Let's talk shoes for the Bride. Some of my favorites have been the Badgley Mischka's, affordable Steve Maddens, and comfortable flats. Feel out your Bride's style and talk about it beforehand with her.
3. Something Borrowed: Bridal Apparel or Experiences
While we wouldn't want a gift to be a borrowed item, but we can get her something she can wear while engaged. Shirts that say BRIDE, something for her to wear after the wedding, anything engraved for the wedding. There are so many cute ideas here, so get creative.
Even better, why not help purchase a getaway for the two of them? Experiences are the best gift, so gift cards for airline flights are awesome or help them start a honeymoon fund. Or let her borrow your travel gear if she doesn't have any.
4. Something Blue: Garter
I love this garter for her something blue. Bonus points if you can find something stitched with her new last name.
5. Something Extra: Give the gift of Photography
Finally, consider giving a gift toward the wedding costs by buying Photography Gift Cards. Photography is one of the most important and more expensive costs of a wedding, so any little bit could be the perfect gift.
Hopefully, this helps give you some ideas of what to gift your Bride for Xmas. Let me know in the comments below what you planning on gifting to her!
