Aerial Photography: A New Venture

It official! I've gotten a camera drone. And my excitement is too great to not share it with everyone! And I'm so pumped to share that I can now do aerial photography at your wedding! Whether you want an over sweeping view of the ceremony, or some amazing couples photos from a higher vantage point, I can now deliver. Say hello to my new DJI Mavic Pro!

As an added bonus, I might even take some video to share with your friends and family of your amazing wedding day. :)

New Lens | Rokinon 14mm

It's time to add a new addition to my camera family! I needed a wide angle for some awesome epic wide shots. I've been wanting to get more fun landscapes for some amazing wedding couples shots. So without further ado, please welcome the Rokinon 14mm!!

So as soon as it got to my door, I started playing around in the house with it. So excuse the mess but enjoy the first few shots I took with it.

Sneak attack! Caught my husband unawares.

And then my husband stole the camera from me and wanted to play with it.

Testing the Nikon Nikkor 85mm 1.8

Today I've been playing around with the Nikon Nikkor 85mm f/1.8. My new lens is so much fun! Here are a few of the shots I've taken:

Renegade glaring at the camera

This is a straight out of camera shot of my cat Renegade. While he's not a great poser (he tends to glare at the camera), this was a great way to test the blacks and whites. If I did anything in photoshop, I would try to change his nose to reflect a more pink color. That way he wouldn't look like a ghost cat!

And then there's the pretty girl Ally. She has the most gorgeous eyes. I pumped them up a bit in photoshop and boosted the contrast. I love the way her fur becomes creamy in the bokeh of the image. I love being able to shoot at f.2.8! She really is one of the most beautiful cats ever.

Mmmm Coffee!

So then I tried to take an image of my morning coffee. To my surprise I was able to capture some of the smoke rising from the travel mug. Peet's Coffee is delicious! My husband used to work for them. We love our travel mugs.

All in all, I love this lens so far. I can't wait to start using it in portraits and other photo shoots.
